Lex Kessler, Chairman
Lex Kessler, Chairman and Owner of ICA, Inc., founded the company in 1983. As
such, he has been involved in the design, construction and renovation of more
than 500 indoor sports and other facilities in more than 39 states and seven
countries. Among his other interests are Sport & Wellness, a group of
tennis clubs located in Connecticut. Sport & Wellness clubs are among the
first to offer fitness, multi-sport, and indoor and outdoor tennis within one
facility.
Lex has patented two insulation systems for indoor facilities. He also has
registered various trade names for the specialty components developed and used
in Indoor Courts of America’s projects. These include the TurboCaindle, Energy
Miser, SportsFrame, and SportsFlex.
He is a long-standing member of the USTA and served as chair of its technical
committee from 2000-2002. He was recently recognized by the USTA for ten
consecutive years of service and continues to actively serve the organization
as a National Volunteer and as vice chair of its Technical Committee. He has
been published in several sports industry publications and spoken nationally
about facility management and construction issues.
Russ Cain, President
Russ, President, has been with the firm since 1983. He began his career as an
installer of insulation systems for various facilities. As the firm expanded
into the tennis industry, he continued to provide oversight for renovation
projects in all facilities. He currently directs all activities associated with
ICA, including design-build, construction, and renovation projects. He is a
lifetime member of the USTA.
Fred Volpacchio, Vice President, New Construction
Fred, a Vice President in ICA's New York office, provides oversight to all new
construction projects in the northeast. He brings nearly 25 years of
construction and management experience. His projects have ranged from offices,
laboratories, municipal projects and warehouses to renovations, self-storage
facilities, retail, and educational structures. He is a member of the
Design-Build Institute of America, the Dutchess County Economic Development
Corp., Putnam County Economic Development Council and the USTA.
John Conti, Vice President, Renovations
John, Vice President, ICA New York construction, joined ICA in 2002 and
currently oversees sports-related renovation projects in the greater New York
area. Prior to joining ICA, he ran his own residential construction firm in
Westchester, Co., NY. He also worked in the golf industry in Hilton Head, SC.
He studied golf course management at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI.
He is a member of the USTA.
Dan Carlson, Project Manager
Dan joined ICA in 1998 as a project manager. He works with ICA's clients to
cost-effectively renovate their sports facilities. He provides photometric
analyses, facility lighting design, and designs and manages the installation of
insulated ceiling & wall systems in sports facilities across the country.
Prior to joining ICA, Dan worked for a regional hardware and lumber company. He
is a member of the USTA.
Jeff Dunn, Director of Sales and Construction
Jeff Dunn, Director of Sales and Construction initially worked for ICA from 1993 thru 1998,
performing project management and sales duties. He rejoined us in June 2008. Jeff has
over 20 years of facilities management, construction and sales experience. Jeff earned a
Bachelors of Science Degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a
member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
Debbie Davis, A/P - A/R Manager
Debbie joined ICA in 2006. She has over 25 years of experience in the
accounting field, primarily in credit and collections. Before joining ICA, she
was Credit Manager for Banta Foods in Springfield, MO.
